An Elegant Vegan Las Vegas Wedding

The idea of planning a wedding in Las Vegas can be overwhelming because of the amount qualified vendors to choose from.

Las Vegas is over flowing with wedding venue options, caterers, florists, rental companies for chairs and linens, etc. There are also hundreds of restaurants that rent space out for business meetings, weddings and events and provide their own delicious menus.

This weeks blog post features Ashley & Ashley, a beautiful young couple from out-of-state,  that decided to tie the knot at the Mandalay Bay on the famous Las Vegas Strip. They chose the Border Grill for the setting.

We asked one of the lovely brides a few questions about planning this weeks featured wedding.

What made you choose the Border Grill?

“When researching wedding venues in Las Vegas, Border Grill stood out because of its great reviews and several vegan options on the menu. The pictures from prior weddings and events were so beautiful and fit the theme my wife and I were going for. We had a small wedding, so the intimate space at Border Grill was perfect.”

Did you have a planner?

“We did not hire a wedding planner, but we did have substantial help from Border Grill’s even coordinator, Destiny Hampton. My wife and I are from California and I’m a bit of a control freak. Even though I was hundreds of miles away, Destiny was able to make our vision come alive and we couldn’t be more thankful.”

What made you go with a white color palette?

“I love white! White flowers, white decorations, ect. When planning our wedding, I jumped at the idea of an all white ceremony and reception!”

I see that you and your wife are vegan, how did that impact your wedding?

“Because we got married in Vegas, finding vendors to cater to a vegan wedding was very easy. Our venue, Border Grill has a very vegan friendly menu. We were fortunate enough to get in contact with Chandiss Olson who designed our vegan dessert bar and made our vegan desserts. We also had vegan desserts made from Cinnaholic. They are a completely vegan cinnamon bun shop and they are delicious! We would recommend getting married in Vegas to anyone who’s looking to have a vegan-friendly wedding!”

I have to say that this is one of my favorite weddings! The decor came out absolutely gorgeous, as were the newlyweds and their classy guests all decked out in white.

The Border Grill has 2 levels to choose from and has both indoor and outdoor options for rent. We dressed up the patio area for their reception using a palette of all white flowers. The 35 foot long tables were covered with low centerpieces surrounded by various size LED candles that gave off the most amazing glow at night. Above the table we hung white wooden planks covered in more flowers, lanterns and LED candles.

The flowers used throughout the wedding were hydrangea, roses, dendrobium orchids, Asiatic lily, white stock and minimal greens for structure.

Enjoy the images and we hope you can take some inspiration for planning your own elegant wedding!
